At yesterday’s Bunnings BBQ Community Assist, we were proud to be able to help out The Journeymen. A great organization here on The Coast.
The Journeymen started with a simple post in a Sunshine Coast spiritual group, a fortnightly Sunday meet-up for guys to talk, walk, and just be. Six men showed up the first week. Fifteen the next. Within three months, 150.
In July 2023 they were officially registered as an Australian not-for-profit charity. What began as Sunday catch-up became programs, partnerships, and a registered force for men’s mental health on the coast.
Today they have 500+ members across Yandina, Buderim and the wider Sunshine Coast, running gym programs, recycling drives, ANZAC Day events, Halloween festivals, awareness campaigns, and the upcoming E.C.H.O Hub. And they’re just getting started.
