SEPT ’25

Another great Jazz in The Park event.  BWMCA certainly knows how to put on a great gig!  How lucky are we here in Buderim to have a yearly calendar full of wonderful, community events?  And the attendance speaks for itself. A huge ‘thankyou’ to the organizers for allowing the Rotary Club of Buderim to cook up our delicious burgers and to the patrons who grabbed a burger or two.  Know that your money goes to helping those in need.

And speaking of BBQs, Maroochy Neighbourhood Centre was the latest community group to take advantage of our Bunnings BBQ Community Assist program.  They supplied just two workers for each of the two shifts and took home well in excess of $1000.  The aim of this program is to assist those local groups that struggle to raise funds.  Have a look at our website to get more information and see how you can apply.

With Dog’s Day Out, the Buderim Street Party and Jazz in The Park all done and dusted, we now move on to Carols in The Park and then, of course, Australia Day.

The planning is well underway for our Buderim Australia Day celebrations with the addition of a new live band with an ‘Aussie Bush Band’ feel, so start practising those boot-scooting moves!  Of course, we’d be drawn and quartered if we didn’t lock in our local favourite, M7, who never fail to get everyone up dancing.

Next year we’ll be having more food vendor options, as well as the BWMCA bar, plenty of Face Painters, clowns, displays and the fantastic, culminating Bendigo Bank fireworks.  Make sure to mark your calendars now.

These events don’t happen without selfless volunteers working behind the scenes to cultivate the vibrant, dynamic community we all enjoy.  If you are a local who can spare a few hours to contribute to ensuring that these events continue for the betterment of our lifestyle, there are many local groups that will welcome you with open arms.  There is nothing more therapeutic than the camaraderie and sense of purpose that comes from ‘giving back’.
