Since 1994 Members of The Rotary Club of Buderim on The Sunshine Coast have worked to make a positive contribution to both the local community and world-wide.

The club is just one of more than 33,000 Rotary clubs, in over 2000 nations around the world, where men and women are making a difference to the quality of life of others by accepting the challenge of volunteer service through their local Rotary club.

To be a member of Rotary is simply to have the desire to do something to help others. To be a member of Rotary is to develop your skills, broaden your networks, grow your understanding and knowledge, enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded people and build life-long friendships.

If you would like to become involved in your community, & help those in need whilst enjoying the fellowship & camaraderie of a friendly group of like-minded people, contact us today.

The Rotary Club of Buderim will be holding ‘Books & Puzzles Fair’ on Saturday the 24th October. We have accumulated a massive array of both fiction & non-fiction books, beautiful puzzles (some still in their wrappers), CDs & DVDs. And to keep the hunger pangs at bay while you’re browsing, there will be a cake stall & one of our famous Sausage Sizzles. All your favorite authors as well as a great selection of kids & teenagers books. And the best part is knowing that all money raised will be going to a local charity.

Why join Rotary?

Rotary Adds a 7th Area of Focus

The Environment

More than $18 million in Foundation global grant funding has been allocated to environment-related projects over the past five years. Creating a distinct area of focus to support the environment will give Rotary members even more ways to bring about positive change in the world and increase our impact.

Supporting the environment becomes Rotary’s seventh area of focus, which are categories of service activities supported by global grants. It joins peacebuilding and conflict prevention; disease prevention and treatment; water, sanitation, and hygiene; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; and community economic development.

With 32,000 Rotarians in 1164 clubs in Australia, and 1,210,047 Rotarians around the world, that’s a powerful lot of people making a difference. The Rotary Club of Buderim is proud to be continuing that ethos here in Buderim on The Sunshine Coast.

How do we make a difference?

Simply by turning conversations into actions. Once a week groups of people, like you, get together and help others in the wider community.

  • It’s life changing
  • It’s exciting
  • It’s knowing you are making a difference.
