A Community Effort We’re Proud Of
While we’re just a little bit chuffed at what we’ve been able to achieve so far this Rotary year, we’re very aware that none of it would be possible without the ongoing support of our wonderful local community.
Thanks to you, we’ve been able to contribute almost $20,000 over the past 10 months to support a diverse range of organisations, including:
BWMCA, Buderim Private Auxiliary, Foote Sanctuary, Maroochy Neighbourhood Centre, Buderim Croquet Club, a school in the Philippines, The Pyjama Lady, 4 Paws, Buderim Scouts, Hope House Project Vietnam, Story Dogs, The Rotary Foundation, Rotary Overseas Medical Aid, and sponsorship of a local student to attend the National Youth Science Forum.
Each of these contributions represents a real and meaningful impact—locally, nationally, and internationally—and reflects the spirit of “Service Above Self” that sits at the heart of Rotary.
Of course, it’s not all work! Along the way we’ve had tremendous fun connecting with the community through events like our Bunnings BBQs, Dogs Day Out, Jazz in the Park, Buderim Carols in the Park, and the Buderim Australia Day Picnic in the Park. These moments of fellowship are just as important as the funds we raise—they’re what keep our club strong and connected.
There’s a real sense of satisfaction in being able to give back to our community in such a meaningful way, and we’re excited about what we can achieve in the months ahead.

Our ‘Friends of Rotary’ members help out at our community events, occasionally join us for our lunch meetings and social events, and are an integral and valued part of our Club.
Together, we’re making a difference and the more members we have, the bigger the difference.
