Buderim Rotary is thrilled to welcome Humbuckin’ Pickups to our entertainment line-up for the Australia Day Picnic in The Park in Buderim.
THE HUMBUCKIN’ PICKUPS are Ewan Cloonan & Mahney Cain (ex Hillbilly Goats) with special guest Gabrielle Kerr on fiddle (ex Hillbilly Goats) … trailing a string of awards behind each of them, their voices and rhythms blend seamlessly and their stories, dance moves and humour are delighting audiences across the nation. This “All Originals” act describe themselves as Folk Drenched Roots and as their energy transcends the stage, be warned you may just find yourself singing along to their catchy tunes.

The Humbuckin’ Pickups bring a unique perspective to their music weaving themes and imagery of rural and regional Australia. Their string accompaniment featuring guitars, fiddle, banjo, double bass, bones and mandolin is a hallmark of their sound along with their raw and honest approach to songwriting. Their latest single, “How the Other Half Live”, (produced by Shane Nicholson), is a powerful narrative that captures the harsh reality of Australia’s ongoing social and housing crisis and its’ national airplay saw it land in the top 10 of AMRAP’s regional charts on the week of release.

The band has played festivals across the country including Music in the Mulga, Coondoo Campout, Mary River Festival, Tall trees Arts festival, Gympie Muster, Kiama Folk Festival, Mary poppins festival, Wolvi Stomp, Heart Of Gold International Film Fest, Tablelands Folk Fest, Airlie Beach Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Tamworth Festival (Jan 2026)

The East Coast Lows are a Queensland, Sunshine Coast-based band known for their blend of blues and rock. Playing original blues influenced tunes, and a broad repertoire of Oz-rock classics from the 60s to 80s, they bring a lively and authentic vibe to every performance.

Buderim Rotary is so proud to be able to bring our community 3 very professional, popular bands with a great variety of music to help us celebrate Australia Day ’26.

This year we welcome very popular Radio Announcer, Des Deighton, from Sunshine FM as MC who will no doubt keep the entertainment flowing.

We’re over the moon to have local Sunny Coast favorite band, M7, once again playing at the Australia Day Picnic in The Park on January 26th.

This dynamic band never fails to get the dancefloor packed with their fantastic lineup of 70s, 80s & 90s classics. With an extra long set due to popular demand, there’s no doubt if you’re not up dancing you’ll be toe-tapping & singing along to their much-loved rock ‘n roll classics.
