PICNIC IN THE PARK<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again the Buderim Australia Day Picnic in The Park was amazing! The park was chocka-block & the atmosphere was just awesome as it generally is when our local <\/a>community congregates. We are so very lucky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Buderim Rotary would like to offer our gratitude to those groups who’s financial sponsorship, &\/or support, actually enabled us to pull this together for the enjoyment of our community:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunshine Coast Council<\/a>, National Australia Day Council, Community Bank Buderim<\/a>, #quevents<\/a>Sunshine FM 104.9 Sunshine Coast<\/a>Buderim War Memorial Community Association<\/a>Brent Mickelberg MP – Member for Buderim<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is through the generosity of these organizations that we are able to organize an event which not only allows us to come together in celebration of Australia, but also facilitates the opportunity for our local clubs & groups to display to the wider community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special mention to Buderim Muscle who were on site around 6.30am erecting marquees & banners, setting up the hall, placing the bins, marking out the sites etc. And they were still there late into the night, along with Rotary members, doing the clean-up. These guys are a fantastic asset for our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entertainers this year had the audience singing along or packing out the dance floor. They were amazing. Big thanks to Suncoast Blues Band, Fiona O’Shea & band & M7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local soprano, Michelle Bull, had the audience joining in with her wonderful rendition of ‘We Are One’, followed by the national anthem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again the variety of street food was in big demand & kept the vendors on their toes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Every year the face painters are run off their feet, & this year was no exception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again the Bendigo Bank Fireworks display had the audience “ooo-ing” & “ahhh-ing” as their close proximity to the display made it particularly stunning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
